I am a native of Southern California, the San Fernando Valley more specifically. I attended UCLA for a couple of years and decided I was tired of crowds. After working in downtown LA for a year or so I transferred to a small private school in Rhode Island! Huge culture change, but sooo much fun! Once married, my husband and I wanted to raise our children in a rural community, so we lived for over 20 years in the Pacific Northwest in communities around Portland, Oregon. But we missed California! So the Central Coast seemed the perfect place to resettle, become Californians again, and reestablish our roots. I have always loved San Luis Obispo County and never tire of its beautiful vistas. There is enough climate change here to keep the place interesting without having to experience long bouts of freezing weather, snow, rain, or even extended high heat for too long. This area also has very little humidity….maybe a few hot days in the summer when we have unusual cloud cover on a 90 degree day. My passions away from work include riding my horse, Smooch, bird watching (of all things!) and being a home maker. I also sing and am part of our Worship Team at church. But I’m always ready to take a call from you. I also love helping out in the community. Our office works with other local businesses and we take children shopping at Target for new school clothes in the Fall. I also help to support our local theatre group, Pioneer Players, when I can. And when the Amgen Tour of California comes through, which it will do again this May 2011, my office helps by directing traffic and people for the day. I do love what I do. When I work with buyers, I am on a “treasure hunt” with them for just the right property….no matter how long it takes. And we always have a great time, even when being chased by chickens! And I am so glad to help with sellers. Often it is a simply a move up buy, or downsizing so there’s more time for travel, but sometimes it’s a job move out of the area. Whatever the reason, I start by making sure I have great pictures of the home for my internet marketing. Here are a few examples! People are often hesitant to talk with real estate agents. I believe they are afraid of getting “trapped” with someone they don’t want to work with, or that they’ll try and talk them into a home they don’t want just to “make a sale”. I work differently. My goal is to provide the best service for my clients that I possibly can, whenever they need my help. I understand your fears, and I am here to be a guide and a friend in working through a sale or a purchase with you. Call me anytime! And if you ride, I’m happy to share with you all of my favorite places to go! |
